hello. my name is zel addams, or zelzebee here on the interwebs—welcome to my digital home.
im a disabled and queer writer, artist, and cultural critic. i believe in the power of fiction and creation to generate new worlds.
we can explore so many possibilities and offer people new futures and ways of being in the present through our writing, our stories, our art.
this site is the home for my work, a living, growing archive of stories, essays, poems, research, inspiration, and documentation.

understanding this site
this site functions essentially like a wiki.
i’ve created indexes in each sub-header (like list of my work, or thief’s box) with links to everything in that room.
at the bottom of each note i’ve added a “get home” link so it’s easier to navigate around.
i use tags to show where i am with a work in my process:
#newmoon describes a baby, a seedling, barely even a sprout. this idea hasn’t really gotten off the ground
#firstquarter describes drafting, brainstorming, idea dumping, the very beginning stages of a project or thought
#fullmoon describes a work that is drafted and being revised and edited, constantly improving—this is where i hope most of my notes stay—constantly evolving.
#thirdquarter describes things that are being wrapped up, ended, ideas i’m moving on from, works i feel truly finished with. you get the gist.
note that tags can change back and forth between different stages of my writing and learning experience
the reason i primarily use this digital home instead of some other sharing site or website or blog is because it allows me to share everything with you as it’s in process. It allows me to share so much more of my life and creative process with the world, and as an artist, few things are as satisfying as my creativity on display.
