i’m an american anarchist
manifesto
We the American people value our bodies and minds and will no longer sacrifice ourselves to the economic machine of capitalism.
We the American people value our neighbors and will no longer stand by as our neighbors near us and across oceans are oppressed.
We the American people value the land that gives us life, and wish to see the restoration of indigenous sovereignty and relationship between humans and non-humans.
We the American people value peace, dignity, and equity, and until the governing powers of our nation align with these values we cannot recognize them as valid institutions.
We, the American people, make these demands of our government,
and until these demands are met, we do not recognize this government, it’s organizing bodies, it’s laws, or it’s enforcers.
Our demands are these:
- term limits for all elected officials, effective immediately, paired with a swift re-election of every seat in congress and senate.
- a ban on corporations, and money in politics
- dissolution of the two party system and the parties that have controlled that system for too long
- a federal minimum wage and universal basic income and universal healthcare
- a green new deal
- the end of policing and prisons; an immediate abolition project
- the recognition of indigenous sovereignty over land
- reparations to the peoples oppressed by american rule and imperialism, including those affected by the legacies of slavery, colonization, and assimilation
- once a new government has been elected, we demand a new and updated constitution to be ratified not only by 100% support of our newly elected representatives but also by a popular vote of 80% or more.
- the end of global imperialism, and a call for the end of all genocides and oppression of western countries over the global south, and whatever support those countries ask for in rebuilding their own communities
- an immediate reconstitution of our military, its purposes and roles, its leaders, and a comprehensive system of recovery for all personnel affected by the damaging processes currently in effect.
And until such a time as these demands are met, we the American people will follow the law of our consciences rather than the laws of this unjust culture;
We the American people hold to these values—
—that Capitalism will fall as we divest from it, as we grow our own food and feed each other, as we take from the corporate overlords as they have exploited and taken from us,
—that the police, the military, and all other enforcers of the oppressive regime will fall into chaos as we destroy their strongholds, ignore their demands, and rely on ourselves to solve our crises and emergencies,
—that we will take over our local governments to create our own systems of self governance and community, and will not take part in the fake democratic process of any federal fascist regime,
—that property will never trump living beings, and that art is integral to our existence and revolution and we will place our cries for revolution in any place we deem necessary,
—that we will take our demands and our values to your public places and impede the beaurocratic systems of oppression
—we will impede your economy and your banking and your roads and your punitive justice and your corporate businesses,
—that this is our country, our home, our national identity, and we refuse to let you define these things any longer;
this is the American Anarchist Manifesto; that when we see injustice we will revolt, we will rise up, we will form a revolution that is resolute and we will not fail to see these mistakes corrected.
let the revolution begin.
